Salado sits closer to the Lampasas Cut Plain / Edwards Plateau transition than Belton or Temple, which means thinner topsoil over limestone in a lot of yards rather than the deep Blackland clay found further east.
That difference changes how a lawn holds water and how it responds to fertilization, which is part of why the same program is applied with an eye on each property’s actual soil rather than a single blanket approach.

It’s too soon to tell if Mr Marshall can actually fix my yard. After explaining my situation to him over the phone, he showed up that afternoon and accessed the yard. The other company I was using had completely misidentified the invasive weed. So instead of killing it, they were feeding it according to Mr Marshall. He was very confident he could improve the appearance of my lawn. My 2nd treatment is this Thursday. I’ll keep you posted.
